This kitchen started out as a dated space in an immaculate house that needed a kitchen to match. We removed walls, ceiling soffit, changed plumbing and electrical locations and of course all new cabinets, counter tops and fixtures among many other things. Check out the photos below to see our progress up to completion. This project was so much fun and such a pleasure for us to complete. I hope you all love it just as much as we do! Before Original design intent. There were some changes made along the way but this was the base of the entire kitchen. Demo of old tile floors, drywall and kitchen cabinets removed by ProDustFreeTileRemoval.com. Ceiling soffit still to be removed here and the wall on the left side. All electrical in that wall has to be safely terminated. The framing and electrical of the wall is removed! The ceiling soffit is also removed. What a difference! Having the ceiling the same level really opens up the space. The rough area of where the concrete will be trenched in order to extend the plumbing and electrical from their original location drawn on the subfloor. Cutting concrete is no easy task, especially inside someone's home. Concrete is trenched and plumbing and electrical are run. This is where the new island will be! Once the soil is disturbed, it MUST be treated to protect against termites. The concrete to cover up the trench in the last photo has been poured, electrical has been run to new locations, drywall has been hung and primed and wood-look plank tile to match the rest of the house has been installed. It's almost a kitchen again! Cabinets have been installed. Almost there! Granite counter tops, faucet and sink are installed. Toe kicks, baseboards and crown molding to be installed. Undercabinet lighting, pendant lights, backsplash and pop up outlets are installed. Crown molding, toe kicks and base boards have been installed as well along with all appliances but cook top. Kitchen is complete! Cabinet hardware, cook top, range hood and pot filler have been installed!
